PARMESAN CRISP SALAD

INGREDIENTS
 
1 pkg Fresh GourmetŪ Organic Seasoned Premium Croutons, or your favorite flavor
2 heads romaine lettuce, washed, dried and chilled
3 garlic cloves, roasted
1 oz pimentos, drained
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1 cup olive oil
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 lb parmesan cheese, block



  DIRECTIONS
 
Salad Dressing:

In a food processor or blender, puree roasted garlic, pimentos and vinegar.

Slowly add oil, blending well until thickened.

Add grated parmesan. Add salt and pepper to taste. Chill.

Parmesan Crisps:

Slice parmesan into thin 2-inch slices and place on nonstick sheet pan.

ake at 350 degrees for 5 to 8 mins or until crisps are melted and golden brown.

Cool.

Arrange romaine on chilled salad plate and drizzle with dressing.
