INGREDIENTS
 
Fresh GourmetŪ Tri-Color Tortilla Strips
1 chicken breast, boneless and skinless
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tbsp oil
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tsp jalapeno, chopped
2-14.5oz cans chicken broth
2-14.5oz cans diced tomatoes, Mexican-style with peppers
1-8oz can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tbsp cilantro, chopped for garnish



  DIRECTIONS
 
Sprinkle chicken breast with garlic salt. Grill chicken using grill pan or barbeque until juices run clear. Using two forks shred the chicken and set aside.

Heat oil in a 2-quart saucepan, add onion, garlic and jalapeno chile and saute until tender.

Add chicken broth, tomatoes, tomato sauce, spices and shredded chicken. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 mins.

Ladle soup into idividual bowls. Garnish each bowl with chopped cilantro and tortilla strips.
