Herb Seasoned Stuffing with Cranberries, Wild Rice and Apples

2 cups water
2/3 cup wild rice (4 ounces)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup diced onion
1 cup diced celery
1 cup diced apple
1/2 cup butter
1 package Fresh Gourmet® Herb Seasoned Stuffing with Cranberries
1 1/2 cups water or broth

Bring water to a boil. Add salt and rice, reduce heat to low. Simmer covered for 1–1 1/4 hours. Drain excess water from rice. Melt butter in a large skillet on medium heat. Add onion, celery and apple and sauté for 5–8 minutes. In a large bowl, combine packet of Herb Seasoned Stuffing with Cranberries, wild rice and vegetables. Add salt and pepper as desired. Lightly toss with liquid. Spread stuffing evenly in a buttered baking dish. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue to bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
