Creamy Mashed Potatoes with Crispy Garlic

Yield: 6 servings | Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 45 minutes


  • 4 lbs. medium Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled

  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, cubed

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • Freshly ground black pepper

  • Fresh Gourmet® Crispy Garlic


Place potatoes and salt in a large pot filled with 6 cups cold water (enough to cover potatoes by one inch). Bring water to a boil then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 30 minutes. Drain the potatoes and set aside.

Meanwhile, over medium heat, warm the cream and milk in a small saucepan until just simmering. Mash hot potatoes and butter in a large bowl until butter is melted and well incorporated. Season with salt to taste.

Mixing constantly, slowly add warm cream mixture to potatoes followed by the sour cream. Top with freshly ground pepper and Fresh Gourmet® Crispy Garlic.
